Lucky was born in the spectacularly beautiful region known as the Rift Valley, Kenya, East Africa where she developed her love for all the animals. She comes from a small town at the base of Mount Elgon where the elephants graze for the salt found in the caves on the mountain slopes. She lived next door to the Saiwa Swamp National Park home to aquatic antelopes, black and white colubus monkeys and many other animals. Giraffe and zebras roamed freely by the roadside. Lucky emigrated to Australia in the early 70's.
